Linda Beatty Lee Hardman, 86, died July 28, 2025, in Faywood, New Mexico. She was born Feb. 9, 1939, in Pasco, Washington, to Henrietta Russell and Raman Beatty. Linda graduated in the Sunnyside Class of 1957 and attended CWU in Ellensburg, Washington. There she met and married Jack Lee and they had two children, David and Susan. Linda married Peter Hardman in 1981, and with their medical transcription business they were able to live in many places before settling in the high desert of New Mexico. Pete’s three children Renee, Andi and Mark were much loved by Linda as if they were her own children. Linda also dearly loved each and every one her nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Linda was a lifelong Christian and was known for her daily devotions and praying for family and friends by name. She led her life with love and kindness and was always ready to laugh. Linda loved to play the piano, sew, cook, and bake and would often make up soup recipes. Linda was an avid knitter and made beautiful sweaters, as well as always having a hat project going. Through the years she sent her children and grandchildren cookies and items she had knit or sewn just for them.
Everyone who is a friend or family member of Linda’s misses her ready smile, kind words and hospitality. The hope of heaven was always her goal and she has finished her race well.
