Angela Joyce Mills, 84

Angela Joyce Cain Mills died April 26, 2026, surrounded by her family, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born Feb. 21, 1942, in McIntosh, S.D., to Jessie Milton Cain and Edith Irene McGregor-Cain. Her family moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in 1949.

Angie married Sherrild Mills on Oct 6, 1958 - 2004 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. They have three children: Sheri and Larry Farr, Pullman, Wash.; Jeanni and Mark Mellor, Duncan, B.C.; and Greg and Lynda Mills, Coeur d'Alene, who have given them 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. 

Angie married Gary Cochran in 2005 and remained married until he died in 2018.

Angie is predeceased by her parents and all of her brothers: Keith, Ivan, Mac, Lyle and Larry. Sisters: Ellen Marie, VernaMae and Mercedes. Grandchildren: Tracey Todd, Joshua Mellor and many nieces and nephews. Survived by her children, and sisters Bonnie Jean, Audrey and Chic.

Angie worked as a Kirby vacuum repair person and sales, running the fountain counter at Woolworth's, a cook and waitress at many local restaurants, a seamstress at Grace Hall's dress shop and others. Angie worked in real estate sales/brokerage. A 4-H leader and member of Mica Grange, known as the pie lady at the North Idaho Fair, was active and involved with neighborhood kids. Angie enjoyed water skiing, camping, snowmobiling, traveling, doing multiple crafts and loved to sew.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2026, at the Forest Cemetery in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. A celebration of her life will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2026, at the Mica Flats Grange Hall in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, with a reception to follow.
