Panthers compete at Thompson Falls meet

Shea Fredette and Devin Hill won first and second place in the 400 meter run to lead the Alberton Panther track and field team at the Thompson Falls Invitational at Previs Field in Thompson Falls April 21.
Fredette completed the 400 meter lap at Previs Field in 55.34 seconds to win and Hill was second in the event in 57.42. Hill also placed fourth in the 800 meters timing out in 2:32 in that race.
The Panthers’ 1600 meter relay team of Hill, Matrei Valdovinos, Mahlon Mason and Fredette tied Two Eagle River for sixth place in a time of 4:14.
On the girls’ side of the Thompson Falls meet, Marley Fredette ran down fifth place in the 200 meter dash for the Lady Panthers’ only points.
In other action last week, Alberton thinclads also competed in the Seeley-Swan Invitational in Missoula Saturday and Shea Fredette won fifth place at 800 meters on the boys’ side for Alberton’s two points in that meet.
Panther track and field teams are scheduled to compete in the Bigfork Invitational Saturday.

Frank, Weaver named All-Star alternatives
Sheldon Frank and Dallas Weaver of the Noxon-Thompson Falls Red Devils have been named as alternates on the West team for the 2026 Montana All-Star High School baseball game to be played at Legends Stadium in Butte August 15.

From Coeur d‘Alene to Deer Park, the North softball team, including players from Thompson Falls, Noxon, Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry, travels well, and have continued tearing up the basepaths at tournaments since the high school season ended.
