Ruth Anne (Montgomery) Holtz, 84, died peacefully at home Thursday, April 23, 2026, in Evergreen. Ruth Anne was born March 25, 1942, in Polson to James M. and Esther (Marsh) Montgomery of Charlo and raised in Chinook where she graduated from Chinook High School in 1960.
In 1961, she graduated from Kinman Business University in Spokane and moved to Great Falls. Ruth Anne and family later lived in California, Texas, Connecticut and Arizona before she moved back to the Flathead Valley foothills, Mountain Brook neighborhood. In 2019, she moved to Evergreen.
Ruth Anne was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter and her brothers, Ralph and Neal.
She is survived by her sons, Colin and Nathan Holtz, daughter-in-law, Maria Spiker, granddaughters, Arielle (Holtz) Gentile and Samantha Spiker, and long-time companion, Wayne Fox.
During her life Ruth Anne enjoyed travel, golf, and playing cards with friends and family.
