Tuesday: Frenchtown walks off Polson softball

FRENCHTOWN — Abbi Edwards came home on an error in the bottom of the seventh to give Frenchtown a walk off win over Polson Tuesday 11-10 in a nonconference softball matchup.
The Lady Pirates (6-4) looked out of the game early as Mackenzie Brush hit a two-run homer to left that gave the Broncs (8-3) an 8-1 lead in the second.
After the teams traded runs in the third, Polson started its comeback.
Jaliyah Pierre singled in the fifth to cut the deficit to 9-5.
In the sixth Ahri Rushing tied the game at nine on a three-run blast to left. Logan McCrea gave the Lady Pirates the lead on an RBI groundout 10-9.
Frenchtown responded, tying the game on a passed ball in the bottom of the sixth, then capitalizing on an error to win the game.
Maddie Turner went the distance for Polson, allowing 14 hits and fanning four batters.
Brooklyn Smith went three innings for Frenchtown, striking out four. Dizzle Smith threw four innings in relief.
