Whitefish bats power doubleheader sweep

WHITEFISH — Whitefish scored eight runs in the first two innings and rolled past Noxon-Thompson Falls 15-1 in non-conference high school baseball as the Bulldogs swept a doubleheader Tuesday.
Riley Boyer went 2-2 with two RBIs and two runs. Finn Ryan added two hits and scored three times, and Wally Hauge finished with two knocks and an RBI.
Whitefish (6-3) added four runs in the fourth and three in the fifth, finishing with 12 hits.
Jace Gonzalez allowed one run on three hits over four innings, with four strikeouts.
Noxon-Thompson Falls (0-8) scored in the fourth. Mason Koskela and Dylan Weaver each had a hit, and Riley Reum drove in the run.
Finn Ryan drove in seven runs on four hits and led Whitefish past Noxon-Thompson Falls in the second game of the double-header.
Ryan doubled in the first to score three, singled in the second to add another and hit a grand slam in the fifth.
Whitefish scored four in the first, added one in the second and five in the fifth.
Carter Godsey had two hits and three RBIs. The Bulldogs drew eight walks and stole nine bases.
Liam Krezowski allowed one hit over four scoreless innings with three strikeouts. Ashtyn Mintz added a scoreless inning.
Eureka 2, Bigfork 1
BIGFORK — Rowan Burow struck out eight over six scoreless innings and led the Eureka past Bigfork on Monday evening.
The Lions (6-3) took the lead in the first when Brody Chapman grounded out to score Rogan Lytle and added another in the sixth when Tyce Van Orden scored on a wild pitch.
Bigfork (7-3) pushed back late, finishing with seven hits and six walks. Wyatt Hickey went two-for-three with a double and drove in Grady Campbell in the seventh.
Chapman struck out Hayden Mayer in the final inning to seal the Lions' victory.
