Art museum to host Glacier Starry Night benefit and auction

The work of 36 distinguished artists from the valley and around the U.S. will be auctioned off at Glacier Art Museum’s Glacier Starry Night benefit gala and art auction on May 8.
Live and silent auction items include paintings, etchings, and photography by artists known for studio and plein air artwork that highlights the people, landscapes, communities and history of Northwest Montana. People may preview a catalogue of the works included in the live and silent auction online at glacierartmuseum.org.
This year’s event, which will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Wachholz College Center, will honor renowned Flathead Valley artist, Tom Saubert, for his distinguished career and lifetime contributions to the region and the visual arts.
The night will include live music by a quartet of Glacier Symphony musicians and painting demonstrations by artists Kenneth Yarus and Wanda Mumm. Appetizers and a buffet dinner will be prepared by House of S&M with cocktails by Spinnaker Bay. A champagne mixer with artists is also planned.

This year's invited artists include: True Archdale, Sydney Boveng, Sandy Bridgewater, Nancy Cawdrey, Leah Cupino, Cynthia Dearing, Aspen Decker, Cameron Decker, Francesca Droll, Heidi Marie Faessel, Jessy Hanson, Kage Harp, Heidi Haugen, Tessa Heck, D.G. House, Tabby Ivy, Terran Last Gun, Daniel Lombardi, Bruna Massadas, Wanda Mumm, Sheri Nagy, Nicholas Oberling, Karl Oehrtman, Mark Ogle, Tarek Penser, Raina Pratt, Alena Sanchez, Tom Saubert, Olivia Stark, Echo Ukrainetz, Ron Ukrainetz, Sally Vannoy, and Kenneth Yarus.
The auctions will also include historic works by Leonard Lopp, Ace Powell, T.J. Hileman and Roland Reed, and others, as well as additional invited artists from FOR Fine Art to be announced soon.
