Bravettes hit 4 home runs in 19-9 win at Columbia Falls

COLUMBIA FALLS — Four Bravettes hit home runs as Flathead picked up a 19-9 nonconference victory over Columbia Falls Thursday in high school softball.

Reese Rosenberg led the Bravettes with four hits including a three-run big fly in the second. Olivia Nyman, Tegan Strauss and Sophia Torgison also hit homers. 

Nyman’s two-run shot lifted Flathead (4-9) to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, and they never looked back. 

Onnikka Lawrence had a three-hit showing for the Class A Wildkats (7-4) with four RBIs. Her two-run homer in the second cut the Columbia Falls deficit to 9-5. 

Strauss had a 3-for-4 outing with five RBIs, including a two-run long ball in the third inning that made it 12-5 Flathead. She crossed the plate four times.  

Alexa Friske pulled the Wildkats to 13-9 on an RBI double to center field. 

Macey McIlhargey threw five innings for the Bravettes, allowing nine runs and striking out three. June Stickney closed with two scoreless innings of work, fanning six.
