1. Any and all options would be on the table. The primary reason I am running is that I believe the central committee could and should be doing more.

2. The most important quality a precinct captain needs to have is a belief in the Idaho Republican Platform. The job of the central committee is to get Republicans elected who agree with the platform and will act on those beliefs. Some of our elected officials that have put an R behind their name do not seem to align with the platform, and seem to vote against the values therein.

3. I align with the Republican Platform and want to help the committee work toward those beliefs. In a deep red state, with a majority of Republicans in the state legislature, getting good conservative policy that would benefit the state seems to be a struggle. Some of our elected Republicans don’t seem to align with the platform. I would like to do what I can locally to correct that.

Rob Tompkins, Republican

• Profession: Tires and automotive

• Educational Background: high school

• How many years a resident: My whole life.

1. What strategies would I use to engage my precinct: Communication is key, I know most of my neighbors in some capacity, either professional or social. I feel I have a good understanding of what our community wants in their elected officials.

2. What qualities do i possess to make me a good fit:  I have common sense, a good work ethic, and I’m willing to listen more than I speak.  As a life long resident of Boundary County, I know what makes this place special.

3. No response given.
