The family of Josephine Henrietta Imper, or Josie, 81, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, regret to announce her passing on April 17, 2026 in Bonners Ferry.

Josie was born March 21, 1945 in Portland, Oregon to Neppie Marie Ring and Joe Ring of Springfield, Oregon.

She is survived by her son, Marty Earl Jensen of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; and granddaughters, Kayla Marie Kacey Hosier, also of Bonners Ferry; siblings, Nikkie Z. Swanson of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Charles C. Buehner of Riddle, Oregon; nieces, Karla N. Eilers of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Fawn Cardinal of Cornelius, N.C.; nephews, Joshua Buehner of Riddle, Oregon; and her beloved horse Darby and dogs, Danny and Gracie.

She was married to Rod Imper April 23, 1999, at The Lakeside Chapel, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and he preceded her in death. She is also predeceased by her cherished dog and long-time companion, Mattie.

She attended school in Beaverton, Oregon and worked for Tektronix, Beaverton, Oregon.

Josie was a local artist, known for her outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail. She enjoyed restoring and adding antiques to her beautiful collection. She was an avid horsewoman who loved to ride with friends. She will be missed by her loved ones and animals.
