Hayden Kite Festival set for May 9

HAYDEN — Residents will send their kites soaring during the Hayden Kite Festival from noon to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 9.
Celebrate with family and neighbors at Broadmoore Park, 2691 West Broadmoore Drive.
Registration and kite flying will be from noon to 1:30 p.m., with judging from 1:30 to 2 p.m.
Winners for Best in Show, High Flyer, Best Homemade and more will be announced during an awards ceremony at 2:15 p.m.
The festival is free and open to all ages. City staff will also have kites on hand for people who don't own a kite.
