The Montana Department of Transportation and Kiewit Construction are continuing geotechnical work this week on the Highway 93 Post Creek safety improvement project.

Crews will be back on site beginning this week between Dublin Gulch and McDonald Lake Road, according to the MDT press release.

The construction activities will include crane mobilization, barrier placement and drilled shaft construction. Geotechnical work is part of the preparation for the road and bridge reconstruction.

The start date was pushed to allow for site preparation, according to the press release. The drilled shafts will support the bridge superstructure. Construction will involve drilling holes and filling them with reinforced steel and concrete.

Drivers can expect alternating single-lane closures and temporary signals to guide traffic. MDT advises a 15-minute delay.
