Spokane Chiefs donate $10,000 to Every Woman Can PNW

Together with Inland Imaging, the Spokane Chiefs are proud to support Every Woman Can PNW through the annual Chiefs Fight Cancer game. Every Woman Can PNW is at the heart of the women’s cancer fight. They provide comfort bags, connect those in treatment with meals and housecleaning, and provide connection for one another at pivotal times in the treatment and healing process.

The Chiefs were victorious over rival Tri-City Americans on Feb. 28 in front of a sellout crowd of 10,366 fans at the Spokane Arena, and thanks to Inland Imaging were able to raise $10,000 to donate to Every Woman Can PNW through the special Chiefs Fight Cancer jersey auction.

“We are incredibly honored and grateful to receive a $10,000 donation from the Spokane Chiefs. This generous gift is more than a financial contribution—it is an investment in hope, healing, and the women and families in our community facing cancer,“ said Amanada Krautkramer with EWC PNW.

Because of partnerships like this, we can continue providing comfort bags, warm meals, house cleaning, and meaningful support to local cancer patients during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Washington State women's basketball

unveils nonconference schedule

PULLMAN — Washington State women’s basketball announced its 2026-27 nonconference schedule, featuring 16 games, seven in Pullman and nine on the road.

The Cougars will open up the 2026-27 season on the road at California on Nov. 2 and at Oregon on Nov. 6. WSU will return home to host Idaho (Nov. 9), Southern Utah (Nov. 13) and Washington (Nov. 17).

The team heads out to the Cancun Challenge to take on Kansas (Nov. 26) and Missouri State (Nov. 27), then play at Nevada on Dec. 1 to finish the road trip.

Once back home, WSU will play Portland (Dec. 6) and Eastern Washington (Dec. 8) before taking off again against Arizona State (Dec. 12) and at San Diego (Dec. 13) in a multi-team event hosted by the Toreros.

After another home game against UNLV on Dec. 16, the Cougars head east to the Hawk Classic in Philadelphia to play Liberty (Dec. 20) and then either St. Joseph’s or Holy Cross on Dec. 21.

WSU will conclude its 2026-27 non-conference slate on Dec. 30 at home hosting Cal State LA.
