Gloria Sandon, 93

Gloria Marie (Gronley) Sandon, 93, was born Oct. 10, 1932, in Fairdale, North Dakota, to Hans and Marie Gronley and was the seventh out of 10 children. They moved to Montana when Gloria was 10 years old. She passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. 

Gloria married the love of her life, Herbert Sandon, on July 24, 1952. They were married for 55 1/2 years before Herbert passed away in 2008. Herbert and Gloria were blessed with seven children. Linda, Cheryl (Schuff), Karen, Greg, Janet (Schnell), Judy (Just) and Debbie (Pfrimmer) were all born and raised in Kalispell. Gloria lived her dream life as she devoted every minute to raising her children. She treasured every minute spent with her family. 

She was preceded in death by Herbert and their daughter Linda.

For her 93 years, she was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her six children, 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Winford Gronley. 

A celebration of life open house will be held at the Moose Lodge in Kalispell on Saturday, Aug. 8 from 2 to 6 p.m. Please bring your favorite memories to share.
