Boise takes series from Range Riders

BOISE, Idaho — The Glacier Range Riders couldn't slow Boise's offense over the final two games of the weekend, falling 12-8 Saturday night and 13-8 Sunday afternoon in Pioneer League action.
Boise (35-31, 12-6 in the second half) pounded out 24 hits and scored 25 runs over the two games to claim the six-game series.
Hawks 12, Range Riders 8
Ryan Recio drove in three runs as Boise erased an 8-3 deficit with a seven-run eighth inning. Jeremiah Begora, Darryl Jackson, and John Cone brought in two runs apiece for the Hawks.
Glacier (33-3, 4-14) looked in control through seven innings behind Jacob Steele's 4-for-5 performance and Donovan Ratfield's three RBIs. Brody Capps added two doubles, while Carson Garner opened the scoring with an RBI single and Ratfield's two-run double highlighted a three-run sixth inning.

Hawks 13, Range Riders 8
Brock Vradenburg homered in the second inning, and the Range Riders rallied from an early four-run deficit to take an 8-7 lead in the seventh.
The Hawks answered immediately with six runs in the bottom half. Logan Meyer delivered a go-ahead two-run double before Jeremiah Begora followed with a two-run single to break the game open.
Brody Capps, Vradenburg and Johnny Luetzow each collected two hits for Glacier. For the Hawks, Wyatt Grant finished with three hits, including two home runs.
Glacier returns to Glacier Bank Park on Tuesday to face Long Beach Coast at 6:35 p.m. (50-16, 13-5).
