Law roundup: Fight over remote leads to 911 call

An argument over the remote escalated between a married couple, culminating in an abandoned call to 911. The man alleged that his wife gave him a “wet willy.” She said he was screaming and swearing at her and threatening to beat her up. The pair agreed to stay in separate rooms for the night. 

A lifted Chevy Silverado reportedly cut off a vehicle and was driving over both lanes of traffic. 

A woman reportedly became upset while arguing with her boyfriend over finances and called him names, then smacked his baseball cap off his head. The responding officer told them to separate for the night, but she allegedly had no one in the area to stay with and her family refused to see them. She agreed to stay in the living room. 

An employee was concerned that a man sitting in a pickup for several hours was following them, saying on a previous day he had followed them into the store. He was advised that he was banned from the property for a year. 

A man with a grudge and his daughter allegedly harassed a woman anytime she went outside. The harassment reportedly stemmed from an incident that occurred a year ago where the man “got in trouble for poor electrical work on a house” and blamed her and her family.

Officers reportedly stopped a vehicle and cited the driver over park rules, failing to “register as a resident” and operating a vehicle with foreign plates. 

A man driving a dark gray Ford SUV reportedly sped through a red light at almost 80 mph, possibly causing a vehicle to hit another car, and kept driving, headed northbound on U.S. 93. Another driver said he would send dash cam footage that may have captured the incident to the police.
