Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador recently announced 39 July product recalls that may pose household safety risks, including several items intended for infants and toddlers.

“Idahoans need to know when everyday products put their families at risk," Labrador said. "This month's 39 recalls include ten products made for infants and toddlers, from baby loungers to dressers to pool drain covers.”

Labrador encouraged the state’s residents to check the list and their homes, and to take action if they have any of the recalled items.

Items on the list range from heated throw blankets to 15-drawer dressers, all of which were noted to pose some type of safety hazard or quality defect.

Categories of risk for the applicable items align with potential fire hazards; fall, entrapment or collision hazards; and suffocation or choking hazards.

Items such as Galanz retro refrigerators, OCTROT heated throws and blankets and Panasonic electric toaster ovens topped the list of recalls for fire hazards, due to the potential risk of shock or fire ignition from faulty power cords and/or internal electrical components.

Several toddler kitchen step stools were also recalled from brands like Woodure, HARPPA, Mangohood and SDADI for risk of serious injury through entrapment or fall hazards, most notably due to poor stability.

A handful of fireworks were also recalled, such as Winco roman candles and Jake’s Fireworks “Skull Strobe,” for premature explosions and malfunctions that can cause the firework to shoot from the side of the tube, creating serious risk.
