Shoshone News-Press | UPDATED 2 hours, 4 minutes AGO
Colleen M. Roberts, 65, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away July 27, 2026, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Born in Kellogg, Idaho, Colleen was raised in the Silver Valley and graduated from Kellogg High School with the Class of 1979. She dedicated nearly 40 years of her life to the healthcare industry.
Colleen found her greatest joy in the outdoors. She loved picking huckleberries, fishing, camping and floating the Coeur d’Alene River each year to celebrate her birthday. She also enjoyed antiquing and yard sales, always on the lookout for treasured pieces of blue glass. Her love of nature, adventure and simple pleasures will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her honey, John Roberts of Kingston; her daughter, Keyra Dixon of Pauma Valley, Calif., and son-in-law Gene Dixon; her cherished grandchildren, Lee, Katheryne, Joselynn and Colin; her sister, Janice Berti, and brother-in-law Orlando Berti, and their family; her brother, Glen Chapin, and sister-in-law Lucy Chapin, and their family; and her two faithful puppies, Buddy and Jake, who were her constant companions. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, dear friends and other loved ones.
A celebration of Colleen’s life will be held Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, at 2 p.m. at West Shoshone Park in Pinehurst, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, the family will lovingly accept huckleberries — in any form — in honor of Colleen’s lifelong love for them.
