Where is the compassion?

Dear Mr. Michael Annis (Law and order, July 30). Where is our compassion and mercy? What then should we do as community to help our homeless Montanans?

Environmentalists to blame

From the July 31 edition: “The Skillet Fire...was burning in an area of dead and downed trees and thick timber,” forest officials said.

You practitioners of analysis paralysis who frustrate every timber sale and every forest thinning project while hiding behind a bogus grizzly, lynx, temporary roads or culverts, armed with lawyers who will steer the case to the lefty judges in Missoula like kindly old Judge Molloy, might want to sit back and think about the damages you cause to the forest and to those who live near or in the forest, and to those hard working but vanishing lumberjacks who work in the forest.  

They all are your neighbors, good people who don’t need their houses and livelihood demolished by your quixotic pursuit of what you call environmentalism.
