This week's Athlete of the Week is Bodi Demmons.

The Sandpoint High star finished eighth overall and second in the 15-19 male age group in the 31st annual Long Bridge swim on Saturday with a total time of 41:09. Demmons, a 16-year-old, was under a minute off from winning his age group, which was won by an 18-year-old from Cheney, Sawyer Kissell.  He made his hometown proud with another top 10 finish, joining Sandpoint Sharks' Joshua Jackson and Josh Burt as Sandpoint locals who led the over 700 finishers from Sagle to Dog Beach.
