SANDPOINT — Bonner County commissioners have finalized and have appointed Audra Savage to the last open fair board seat.  

Savage will be seated for the remainder of a four-year term that was originally seated by Quentin Ducken before his resignation earlier this year. She will remain on the board until May 6, 2028.  

Commissioner Asia Williams did not vote on the appointment due to her absence during the fair board interviews. 

“During our interview with Audra, the board commented on her social media knowledge and experience, and the value that she could add to the fair board,” Commissioner Brian Domke said.  

Commissioners further indicated that Savage is in the process of taking accounting classes, another skill that could be utilized by the fair board. The last appointment made to the board, Zach Spohn, was chosen to sit on the board due to his financial background, something the fair board had specifically requested to assist with fiscal responsibilities.    

“I want to also thank everyone else who applied and interviewed. There are a lot of really passionate people who contribute a lot of their time for the fair, even if it's informal, and that is very much appreciated. So, thank you to all who took the time and provided that interest,” Domke said.  

The appointment of Savage marks the final fair board seat that needed to be filled, where the volunteer board is currently at capacity.
