Innovia Foundation awards more than $534K in scholarships

Innovia Foundation recently awarded $534,704 in scholarships to students throughout Eastern Washington and North Idaho for the 2026-2027 school year. Innovia manages over 50 scholarship programs on behalf of donors who have established funds to help students achieve their career and post-high school education goals. 

“In partnership with local donors, Innovia is pleased to reduce barriers to higher education for students across Eastern Washington and North Idaho,” said Molly Sanchez, chief community investment officer at Innovia. “Investing in educational attainment supports both student success and the long-term vitality of our region.”

Below are two local scholarship recipients:

Gianna Gonzalez — Coeur d’Alene High School; Scholarship: Spokane Area Swimming Memorial Scholarship, $1,375; College Choice: University of Washington; Major: Pre-Health Sciences

“Completing higher education is important to me because it will give me the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to pursue my goal of becoming a physician. Higher education also represents personal growth, independence, and the chance to challenge myself academically and personally.”

Emily Myers — Clark Fork High School; Scholarship: Doris L. Kenney Memorial Scholarship, $530; Hoyt & Edith Schuyler Scholarship, $1,273; College Choice: University of Idaho; Major: Biological Engineering
