Law roundup: Caller fearful of wandering badger

A man was concerned that a badger wandering the neighborhood would become aggressive. Kalispell Police officers told him that, based on similar past calls, wildlife officials advised avoiding the badger and said it would find its way home.
A store employee called the police to remove a man who allegedly threw money at a cashier the previous day and had a reputation for being aggressive. They called again when he walked out without paying for his drink, wrapped himself in a blanket and screamed that the employees were "weird and creepy too." Officers were unable to locate him.
A man on a bicycle was allegedly engaged in an act of self-gratification near community mailboxes. He was described as in his 30s and wearing glasses, a black cap and a dark-colored zip-up hoodie.
Someone went to the Police Department wanting his knife back.
An employee allegedly thought four 13-year-olds who rode their scooters to get coffee for their parents around 4 a.m. were too young to be out at that time without adult supervision and wanted the police to be aware.
Someone's lost wallet was reportedly returned with other people's cards in it.
A caller who didn't know the address of his location reportedly rambled to the police about a man with an afro who "came up on him" while he was unloading his vehicle in a public parking lot. The caller said he confronted him because he felt "uncomfortable and threatened," but could not explain why, other than the man allegedly yelled back at him, so he grabbed his "Draco AK-47."
When the officer asked what he did with the firearm, the man reportedly became evasive and started insulting the officer and said he was recording the call and was going to contact his lawyer. Speaking extremely fast, the man prattled on about his "right to defend himself because he works seven days a week and the man was threatening him," but said he didn't threaten the man with the firearm. The caller reportedly had a history as a suspect in a previous assault with a weapon case.
