Patsy Foote, 89

Patsy Foote, age 89, died on July 27, 2026, in Missoula, following two years of struggling to recover from a stroke. Patsy was born on June 8, 1937, to Cecil and Tina Tranberg in Kalispell.
She attended high school and college in Eugene, Oregon, where she met and married Roy L. Foote. She followed Roy as the Coast Guard took him to California, Alaska, Washington, Florida, Louisiana, and Virginia. After Roy's retirement in 1980, they settled in Superior, Montana, and started Treasure Morgan Farm. Patsy worked at the Mineral County Library and taught violin lessons in their home.
Patsy and Roy were members of the Superior Community Church. Patsy also donated her time to the Mineral County Performing Arts Council and the Mineral County Pioneer Council. She loved to knit and sew, and was an early adopter of organic gardening.
Patsy is survived by her children Christina (Alan) Burnett and Roy H. Foote; her grandchildren Stephanie Pierce (Erik Jorgensen), Ben van der Harst (Anna Randall), James (Jenna) Foote, and Elena "Cypress" Burnett; four great grandchildren; and her brother Leroy (Joyce) Tranberg. A memorial service will be conducted at Superior Community Church on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 11 a.m., retired pastor Gray Repke presiding.
