SANDPOINT — The region's youth softball team is hosting a tryout for its 16U team this Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Colt Field at Sandpoint Middle School, 310 S Division Ave.

The tryout will begin at 4:30 p.m. with pitchers and catchers reporting for the first half hour. At 5 p.m., the full team tryout will start and last for two hours until 7 p.m. Softball pants and socks are required to participate, according to The North's social media post.   

It is advised that parents and players arrive early to complete the necessary paperwork before the tryout begins. While Sandpoint Middle School's renovation continues, attendees will need to park on Pine Street, near the Pine Street Athletic Fields, and walk to Colt Field.
