Concertgoers attending Jessie Leigh's performance at the Boundary County Fair on Saturday, Aug. 15, will have the opportunity to participate in a “Flag Called Freedom,” a patriotic community experience taking place during her 7 p.m. concert.
The presentation features a large American flag that travels across the country as part of the Flag Called Freedom initiative. During the performance, audience members will be invited to help unfurl and hold the flag together while Jessie Leigh performs her original song, “Small Town Fight”, followed by “God Bless the U.S.A.”
According to organizers, the interactive experience is intended to bring the community together in a shared celebration of freedom, service, and unity.
During the concert, a member of Jessie Leigh's crew will bring the flag to the front of the stage, where attendees will be invited to help spread it across the crowd. After the two-song tribute, the audience will be guided in folding the flag before the performance continues.
Following the concert, attendees will also have the opportunity to sign the barrel used to transport the traveling flag as it continues its journey across the country.
