Flathead Lakers Summer Soiree – 5-8 p.m. Aug. 6 at Flathead Forevers, 28275 Skipping Rock Lane in Big Arm; an evening of music by the John Floridis Trio, food and lakefront are part of this summer celebration that helps support clean water and healthy ecosystems in the Flathead watershed. Flathead Lake Biological Station open house — 11 a.m. Aug. 7 at the Flathead Bio Station; join the bio station for the last open house with director Jim Elser. This is a family-friendly event that highlights the research, monitoring and education programs at the bio station. 

Free summer concert — 6 p.m. Aug. 8 at Good Old Days Park Amphitheater; join the show to see Good Company with Friends and The Late Bloomers performances. The event includes a lemonade stand and bounce houses. 

A Race to Remember — 9-10 a.m. Aug. 8 at the Linderman School walking path; join the race to remember and honor memories of those the community has lost. 

Courthouse Art Festival — 9 a.m. Aug. 8 at the Lake County Courthouse; celebrate the 55th annual festival on the courthouse lawn. Enjoy local and regional fine art, talented artisans and skilled crafters. 

Cruisin’ by the Bay Car Show — 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 8 on Main Street in Polson; join the show to see some classic rides. The event includes food trucks, music, a beer garden and art show. 

Flathead Waters Cleanup — 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Aug. 8 on local streams, ponds, wetlands, rivers and lakes; this Flathead Basin-wide event brings together agencies, organizations and community members in an all-day volunteer effort to clean up trash and celebrate the region’s waterways. Port Polson Players: No Irish Needed – 2 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Theatre on the Lake in Polson; the Montana ShamRockers present their acclaimed musical tribute to our nation’s veterans and the Irish contributions to the building of our country. Farmers Markets — Polson: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Fridays through the second Friday in October on Third Ave.; the market has over 50 vendors selling locally grown, crafted and baked goods.
