Whitehead named to Big Sky preseason all-conference team in women's soccer

Former Lake City High standout Georgia Whitehead, along with Idaho Vandal teammates Sara Rodgers and Izzy Thoma, were named to the 2026 Big Sky preseason all-conference team in women's soccer.  

Whitehead, a transfer from Washington State, earned second team all-Big Sky honors in 2025. The senior forward finished with three goals and three assists, starting in all 18 matches that she appeared in, and logged 1,201 minutes on the season.

Idaho, which reached the conference tournament semifinals last season, was picked to finish second in the Big Sky preseason coaches' poll. Weber State was picked to win the league.

Idaho opens the 2026 season on Aug. 12 at Washington State in Pullman.
