Larry Lynn Bodmer, 78, passed away on July 30, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was born on July 3, 1948, in Des Moines, Iowa.

As a young child, Larry's family moved from Iowa to Calif., where he grew up in the east-central part of the state. He graduated from Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley in 1966 and attended Western Baptist Bible College for two years. He was drafted into the United States Army and faithfully served his country from 1969 to 1971.

In June 1971, Larry married the love of his life, Beci Jimmerson. Together they celebrated 56 years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and serving others.

Larry worked in the restaurant industry until 1978, when he and Beci moved to Montana. There he began a 25-year career at the Columbia Falls Aluminum Company. He was a volunteer fireman for Badrock Fire Department for 20 years. After retiring, he enjoyed woodworking and operated a handyman business, using his skills to help friends, neighbors, and anyone in need.

Larry and Beci lived in the Flathead Valley for 47 years before moving to Post Falls, Idaho, in 2025 to be closer to their daughter.

Above all, Larry loved the Lord. His faith was evident in the way he lived each day. At nearly every meal, he offered thanks to God for sending Jesus Christ to be his Savior. He had the spiritual gift of helping others, and his home was always open to anyone who needed a place to stay, a helping hand, or a listening ear. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, quiet strength, and unwavering faith.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Beci Bodmer of Post Falls; his daughter, Mindy Banks of Spirit Lake, Idaho; his son, Nat (April) Bodmer of Algonquin, Ill.; and his cherished grandchildren, Maya, Rachel, Micah, and Claire Bodmer.

He is also survived by his brother, Rod (Portia) Bodmer of Medford, Ore.; his sister, Sandy (Jerry) Tuinstra of Windsor Heights, Iowa; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Dan Jimmerson (Connie 12-10-2025),  Allen (Dana) Jimmerson, Mark (Jean) Jimmerson, Curt (Janet) Konecky, and Colleen Jimmerson; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Saturday August 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery Kalispell followed by a reception at Blaine Creek Grill, 100 Hwy 206 Kalispell, across from Woody's Country Store.

Larry's legacy lives on in the lives he touched through his faith, his generosity, and his love for his family.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered until the day we are reunited in Christ.
