Suzanne Hoskinson, 72

Suzanne K. Hoskinson, 72, daughter of John and Flo Stoltenberg, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026. Born on June 21, 1954, she grew up in Cashmere, Wash., where she attended school before going to college at WSU and the Bassist Institute of Art in Portland, Ore., where she studied interior design.

Suzanne married the love of her life, Paul Hoskinson, and together they built a life centered on family, friendships, and hard work. They raised their family in Bremerton, Washington, where Suzanne was actively involved in the PTA and PEO. In 1996, they moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where they continued raising their sons while building several successful family businesses together, including the Lakeview Lodge in Harrison, Idaho.

Harrison became a place close to Suzanne’s heart. She dedicated countless hours volunteering with the Harrison Grange, the annual Barn Dance, and the Harrison Old Timers Picnic, helping preserve the traditions and sense of community she cherished.

While Suzanne’s accomplishments were many, her greatest joy and proudest role was being “Grammy” to Anders and Vera Lou. She poured her heart into her family, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her kindness, generosity, and selfless spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Suzanne’s legacy is one of unwavering kindness, unconditional love, and a lifetime spent putting others first.

Suzanne is survived by her husband of 47 years, Paul; her sons, Robert and Evan; her grandchildren, Anders and Vera Lou; her niece, Jancee Reagan; her nephew, John Bruehl; and her sister, Nancy Stoltenberg Bruehl.

A celebration of Suzanne’s life will be held on September 20th in Harrison, Idaho, at the city park and One Shot Charlie’s.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Harrison Grange or the Harrison Old Timers Picnic.
