Drive begins to help fire victims

The city of Coeur d’Alene, Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations, and Human Rights Education Institute have scheduled a fundraiser to assist individuals impacted by the fires in northern Spokane.
Donations to the “From Idaho with Love” campaign, including clothing, toiletries, school supplies, toys and more, can be made at HREI, 414 W. Fort Grounds Drive, from Aug. 8 through Aug. 15.
Volunteers will be available to assist donors during office hours. Containers will also be available at the building entrance.
Those wishing to donate cash can send funds to Innovia Foundation in Spokane by visiting goinnovia.org/Spokane-complex-wildfires or mailing a check to Innovia Foundation, 819 W. Riverside Ave., Suite 650, Spokane, WA 99201. Your memo needs to read that the funds are for the Spokane Complex Wildfire Response Fund.

"The organizers indicated that they know of no place in America that is more generous than the people of the Inland Northwest when it comes to helping their neighbors in time of a tragedy," a release said.
