Gary Suppiger, owner of Big Sky Forest Products, was grilling hotdogs while Gail Johnston was the Rink DJ as kids were on roller blades, skateboards, inline roller skates and scooters with music and lights flashing on what was the largest roller rink in the county at the Post & Pole Plant in St. Regis. Before the pressurized equipment arrives, Suppiger, Liz Thompson, Business Manager and Steven Freeman, General Manager wants the community to see the massive interior of their newest building, and the Skate Party was organized. Another one takes place Saturday, August from 5 to 8 p.m. with more food and fun for everyone to enjoy. Plus, it was 10-15 degrees cooler than outside. (Monte Turner/Mineral Independent)
