PREP GOLF: Lambert/Elgee notch win for Lake City in opener

BLANCHARD — The Lake City boys team of Trey Lambert and Olin Elgee shot the low round of a two-person best ball round with a 65 in a season-opening dual with Lakeland at StoneRidge Golf Club on Wednesday. 

Teams were paired into three groups, with one school represented in each. 

Lake City's Danika Thompson and Shelby Hagerty shot a 77 in the girl match, which was a scramble format. 

Both schools return to action on Tuesday with a tournament at Liberty Lake Golf Course.
