2026 Block Management Program information, including the statewide overview guide as well as specific individual property maps and rules, is available at Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks offices and online.

This year, FWP’s Block Management Program will provide access to nearly 7 million acres of private and isolated public land for the 2026 hunting season. This access is provided in partnership with private landowners, other agencies or conservation organizations.

Each hunter planning to take advantage of the Block Management Program can get each specific property map and rules prior to hunting online or at an FWP regional office.

Specific property information includes important landowner rules and how to obtain landowner permission for hunting access. Visit fwp.mt.gov/bma for the most current information related to Block Management properties enrolled for the 2026 season or to request an overview guide by mail.

The Block Management Program guide provides an excellent resource to help hunters plan ahead for access. Planning ahead is a key component of FWP’s Protect the Hunt.

Other components are to respect private property, practice safe hunting and turn in poachers.

For more information about the program, send an email to [email protected] or contact the local regional office where you plan to hunt.
