Richard Albert Corey, born May 7, 1946, was a proud Navy veteran and faithful husband to his bride, Willeen Ann Mathews Corey, whom he married Nov. 24, 1967. He went peacefully to his Heavenly Father on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family who sang the old Gospel hymns as he slipped away to his precious Savior Jesus Christ.

All five of his daughters were miraculously able to be with him in his last days. They were blessed to share their love for him before he passed. His daughters, Deeana, Rebecca, Melissa, Angela and Kimberley will always cherish those last days with him. He is survived by his daughters, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

We know Richard is at peace because he put his faith and trust in Christ Jesus, as he said in his own words, “Peace of mind, body and soul, if you know Jesus, you know. If you don’t, read “Seduction of the Heart” (by author Tim LaHaye).” Richard was a Pastor, a teacher of God’s Word. His one desire for his family was that they would love Jesus. “I have a wife and five children that I love without conditions. If they love Jesus, it would be forever wonderful.”

In loving memory of Richard Corey: a celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, at the Pathway Church, 3115 N. 15th St., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
