Ronda Koestler, 74

Our sister, Ronda Marlene Koestler, 74, of Whitefish, passed away on Aug. 1, 2026, in Whitefish.

Born on Dec. 3, 1951, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Ronda was the first of three daughters for Marlin and Mable Koestler.

She attended Whitefish schools and graduated from Whitefish High School. Ronda spent the majority of her work career at North Valley Hospital, where she worked until her retirement.

Ronda was known for her generous heart and caring spirit. She cherished time with our family and was a devoted aunt to her nieces. She lovingly helped care for our parents and was always willing to lend a hand when someone was in need. She enjoyed discussing politics, keeping up with current events, and working the daily crossword puzzle the old-fashioned way — with pencil and paper.

Ronda is survived by our father, Marlin Koestler; sisters, Cindy Thornton and Lory Williams; and nieces, Kendra and Alisa. She was preceded in death by our mother, Mable Koestler.

Ronda will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the love she shared with those around her. She will be deeply missed by our family and all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, Whitefish. No services have been scheduled at this time.
