Fresh, local produce is a top item at the Superior Saturday Market. “My cabbages are peaking,” smiled Debra Regan last Saturday. “I planted 56 cabbages and they are all about this size,” as she tapped one on her table. “My peppers, yellow summer squash, zucchini, cucumbers are all coming on strong.” Milton Pearce with the Potting Shed agreed and said next week he’ll be swimming in tomatoes. He is also a vendor at the Pop-Up Market in the parking lot of The Moxie in St. Regis Mondays starting at 3. The local markets on Thursdays in Alberton and at the Hideout in DeBorgia have produce vendors, sometimes, but they are smaller and not as consistent.
