Simpson, 14, wins inaugural Cedar Flats Trail Trot

Shaw Simpson of Kalispell won the inaugural Cedar Flats Trail Trot 10 K Saturday. The 14-year old ran the course in 41.48.

Three Columbia Falls runners, Adam Sommers, 31, Elizabeth Wasserman, 31 and JT McEntyre, 31, took second through fourth respectively.

All told, 71 runners hit the largely off-road course north of Columbia Falls on the Cedar Flats trail system.
