Edward Jones Financial Advisor Jake Baumann of Polson was named to the 2026 Forbes Best-in-State Next-Gen Wealth Advisors, a list compiled annually by SHOOK Research. The ranking recognizes financial advisors 40 and younger who have at least four years of experience and is based on assets under management, revenue trends and compliance records.
According to an article posted at Forbes.com, nearly 40% of financial advisors are expected to retire within the next decade, making room for a new class of younger wealth managers.
"I'm honored to receive this recognition," Baumann said. "Helping clients navigate important financial decisions and gain confidence in their future is incredibly rewarding.”
This year’s Best-in-State Next-Gen Wealth Advisors list highlights 2,172 advisors from across the U.S., including 14 in Montana. A dozen of those have offices in five of the state’s largest cities – Billings, Helena, Missoula, Bozeman and Great Falls – while only one other was located in a rural community (Glendive).
Advisors on this year’s list from Montana are affiliated with Edward Jones, Merrill Wealth Management, Stone Leaf Financial and Ameriprise.
Baumann earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Northern Arizona University and started his career with Edward Jones in the company’s home base in Tempe before opening his office in Polson 12 years ago.
He volunteers with Lake County Search and Rescue and has served as president of Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana and Polson Rotary Club, and as vice president for the Greater Polson Community Foundation.
Baumann leads a team that includes branch administrators Caitlyn Rose and Shantelle Davis. His office is located across the Polson bridge at 48905 Hwy. 93 and can be reached at 406-883-3746.
The SHOOK Best-in-State Next-Gen Wealth Advisors list is published in August of each year, and the results are based on objective criteria.
