O'Hara's homer, Baker's pitching dooms Range Riders Tuesday

Michael O'Hara blasted a go-ahead two-run homer in the seventh as Boise capitalized on a great outing from Andrew Baker to defeat Glacier 3-1 in Pioneer League Baseball Tuesday evening at Glacier Bank Park.

The loss dropped Glacier to 9-22 in the second half, 19 games behind Modesto and 13 arear of second-place Missoula. Boise moves to 20-10, just 1.5 games back from Missoula looking for a playoff spot. 

Baker went 6 1-3 innings for the Hawks, allowing one run on four hits and striking out four to earn his sixth win of the season. Zan Rose earned the save with two innings, allowing one hit. 

Aidan Elfering delivered a solid performance for Glacier, going seven innings. He allowed seven hits and all three runs, fanning seven. Lance Wade went two no-hit innings in relief. 

O'Hara put the Hawks ahead 1-0 in the third with a double steal while Jacob Sisto nabbed second base. 

Brock Vradenburg singled in the fifth to tie the game at one, scoring Donovan Ratfield, but Glacier's offense dried up from there. 

The teams continued their six-game series Wednesday.
