A Polson woman admitted to charges stemming from two separate cases against her.
Talyn Shiloh Bird, 24, entered a plea of guilty in Polson District Court Aug. 12 to felony charges of assault with a weapon and criminal mischief. In a separate case, she pled guilty to misdemeanor partner or family member assault.
According to court records, in the first case, on July 7, 2025, Polson Police responded to a report that a person hit another person and a car with a baseball bat at Sacajawea Park. The victim told the responding officer that Bird hit her on her arm with the bat multiple times and struck her son’s car with the bat, shattering the windshield. A witness had video of the assault on a mobile phone.
The second charge stems from an incident at Cherry Hill Apartments in Polson on Dec. 10, 2025, when she fought with her mother and sister.
Judge Molly Owen set sentencing for Jan. 19. Bird made her appearance from a treatment center.
