Sheridan Ann Hughes, 76
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 1 hour, 31 minutes AGO
Sheridan Ann Hughes, 76, passed away Aug. 9, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, memories and a family who will miss her dearly.
Born in Houston, Texas, Sheridan spent part of her childhood in California, where she cherished memories of Redondo Beach and her father’s restaurant. Her family later moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where she spent most of her life and was proud to call home.
Sheridan found happiness in gardening, sewing, celebrating Christmas, spending time at the Coeur d’Alene park and beach and being with her family. She was deeply patriotic, proud of America and especially loved celebrating the Fourth of July. Known as “Grammy” to her grandchildren, she treasured the time she spent with them.
Sheridan is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Hendrick (Scott) and Jenny Kuntz; grandchildren: Jacob Lindley, Lucas Lindley, Cole Wickliffe and Brittney Branham (Travis); sister Dana Allen (Joe); cousin Gloria Windham, whom she loved as a sister; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she deeply loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia and Martin Andreassen, and brothers Mark and Paul Andreassen. We take solace in knowing she is with them.
Rather than focusing on goodbye, Sheridan’s family invites those who knew and loved her to celebrate her life, her love for Coeur d’Alene, and the love she gave her family.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Sept. 13, at 3 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Eagles, 209 E. Sherman Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Sheridan will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered and forever loved.
