STCU names risk management VP

Samantha Harper is the new Spokane Teachers Credit Union Vice President of Risk Management. She previously served as STCU’s Financial Crimes Manager. 

Harper, who will be stationed at the company headquarters in Liberty Lake, joined STCU’s compliance team in 2015. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Western Governors University in 2018. 

Harper will oversee STCU’s Risk Management, Financial Crimes, and Compliance teams, who identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the credit union, monitor regulatory compliance, and combat fraud. 

STCU, founded in Spokane in 1934, is a not-for-profit financial cooperative. 

The credit union serves more than 300,000 members at 51 branches in Washington, Idaho and Oregon.
