SCHOOLGIRL SAVES LIFE OF DAM WORKER

Bruce Yoho, 33, owes his life to a school girl’s well-learned lesson. The young man, who works at  Cabinet Gorge dam, was swimming off Dreisbach’s dock at Trestle Creek Wednesday when he sank out  of sight. Marjorie Thomas, 16, swimming nearby, pulled Yoho out, took him to shore and did artificial respiration, reviving him enough to take him by car to Bonner General hospital where oxygen and use of a resuscitator completed his recovery. Marjorie’s only training in life saving had been from Mrs. Margaret Monahan in classes at the Hope school. Her prompt action undoubtedly saved Yoho’s life.
