NIC ROUNDUP: Cardinals wrap Texas trip 1-3

BAYTOWN, Texas — Brynlie Cornia, a freshman from Nibley, Utah, had seven kills for North Idaho College in a 25-13, 25-21, 23-25, 25-15 loss to North Central Texas College of Gainesville, Texas, in the Lee College tournament on Saturday.

Freshman setter Zoe Galbreath of Ritzville, Wash., had 18 assists and sophomore setter Olivia Zazuetta of Rathdrum had 11 assists for NIC, which finished 1-3 in the season-opening tournament.

NIC returns home to host Green River and Yakima Valley College in the North Idaho College tournament next Friday.

PRESCOTT, Ariz. — The Cardinals (1-1) fell to the Monsters (2-0) of Thatcher, Ariz., in a nonconference match at Prescott High.
