ISP investigating fatal Sagle crash

SAGLE — Idaho State Patrol is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Sagle.  

ISP troopers said a 62-year-old man from Arizona was driving a Toyota FJ Cruiser traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 95 when he crossed the centerline and struck a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 54-year-old man from Spirit Lake. When the FJ Cruiser struck the Silverado and its trailer in tow, both vehicles were run off the roadway in opposite directions. 

The male driver of the FJ Cruiser was transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance and was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the Silverado declined transportation from the scene for treatment.  

U.S. Highway 95 was blocked for approximately two hours to process evidence and clear debris.  

The investigation is currently ongoing.
