NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Soap Lake will hold a PUBLIC HEARING for amending Soap Lake Municipal Code 17.20.120 to add an exception permitting six-foot fences within the front yard setback on certain residentially zoned properties. This public hearing will be held during the regular City Council Meeting on September 2, 2026 at 5:30 pm at the Soap Lake Community and Senior Center, 121 2nd Ave SE, Soap Lake, WA 98851. You are invited to attend this public hearing and provide comments. If you cannot attend, written comments will be received until 4:00 pm September 2, 2026, at City Hall, 239 2nd Ave SE or by mailing them to PO Box 1270, Soap Lake, WA 98851. CITY OF EPHRATA SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 26-004 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Ephrata City Council adopted Ordinance No. 26-004 on August 19, 2026. The ordinance amends Section 19.06.040 of the Ephrata Municipal Code relating to signs and temporary signs within the City of Ephrata. The ordinance revises regulations governing temporary signs in residential and nonresidential zones, establishes standards for temporary signs located within City rights-of-way, restricts temporary signs on City-owned property, establishes limitations on banners and feather signs, and provides related regulations for sign placement, size, duration, maintenance, and enforcement. The ordinance also contains severability provisions and authorizes clerical corrections for codification purposes. Ordinance No. 26-004 was passed by the Ephrata City Council on August 19, 2026, and becomes effective five (5) days after publication of this summary as provided by law.
