Joette married Dave Teater in Hazelton, Idaho, in 1969. Their two children, Mike and Laura, were her pride and joy. Joette was a devoted mother. She always said they changed her life for the better, and they felt her love and support. Jo liked to ski, travel, camp and host family and friends for meals and holiday celebrations. She especially enjoyed decorating her home. Jo’s personality sparkled with her sense of humor and wit. She was always ready for a new adventure or creative endeavor.
Joette was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene; her father, Joe; and her daughter, Laura. She is survived by her husband, Dave; her son, Mike; her sister, Natalie; her brother, Stacy (Michel); six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
Her celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church, 521 Lakeside Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The family suggests donations in lieu of flowers be made to Orchard Ridge Senior Living (www.chardcda.org).
