Murray, Mitton 3rd for Glacier at Missoula golf Invite

MISSOULA — Glacier's Torren Murray and Maggie Mitton brought home third place finishes for Glacier at the Missoula Invitation golf tournament at Larchmont Golf Course Tuesday.


Murray's one-under-par total was three shots behind boys medalist Jack Schaefer of Missoula Sentinel. Spartans teammate Joseph Meusey was second, two shots behind Schaefer. 


Tripp O'Boyle finished in a tied for ninth as Glacier took home third in the team standings behind Sentinel and Bozeman. Flathead was eighth in the boys standings. O'Boyle and Murray both finished Tuesday's round with a 1-under-par 71. 


Teegan Eisenzimer led the Braves with a total of 169. 


Flathead's girls snagged a third place result in the team competition behind winners Gallatin and second place Missoula Big Sky. Glacier placed sixth. 


Becky Schmidt was tied for seventh to lead the Bravettes with a total of 182. Hayden Ward was 11th at 190. 


Glacier's Lillie Groom also finished at 182.
