The police calls section does not reflect the nature or the volume of the calls received by local law enforcement.

Aug. 7

The caller said a transient male was harassing customers and trying to coerce them into buying him marijuana. The man was counseled on his behavior.

A caller thought a homeless person was taking up residence behind a building on Central Avenue.

A large black bear was seen walking in the river.

Four cows were in the road on East Edgewood Drive.

A bartender called to have a seemingly sober male removed because he was bothering females at the bar. He was getting in their faces and asking them to hit him.

There was concern for a dog left in a truck on Central Avenue.

A truck with a boat and trailer was blocking the caller's driveway on Fox Hollow Lane.

Aug. 8

The caller's bike was stolen a couple weeks ago, but he did not report it because he was told the bike wasn't worth reporting.

A white Ford with Oregon plates was parked on Kalispell Avenue for two days.

A silver Subaru Forester was blocking the caller's driveway on Brimstone Drive.

A caller reported seeing several pipes connected to a larger pipe releasing polluted looking water into the river along Clearwater Drive.

The driver of a motorhome appeared to have attempted to turn into an alley on Central Avenue and got stuck.

The caller thought two men with backpacks, one of whom had dreadlocks, who looked into a vehicle on Second Street seemed suspicious. They were carrying bedrolls and a plastic bucket, and one was possibly carrying a baby doll.

Three or four people on motorcycles were popping wheelies in a parking lot.

The caller was concerned that the likely very intoxicated male who was stumbling would stumble into traffic on Spokane Avenue.

The caller thought it was unusual for a group of men to be in the street playing football on Fox Hollow Lane.

The driver of a boxy blue car was seen swerving all over and driving slowly on West Seventh Street.

A man was apparently assaulted twice in one hour at two locations downtown.
